Rudy is a 5 year old Saluki Lurcher who has just gone into temporary foster. He was attacked when with his original owner by another dog and was reportedly fearful of them, and we have seen evidence of his fear/anxiety with the resident dogs in foster. He is quite unpredictable with other dogs, especially around food.
Rudy is also very worried by young children so we need to find a sighthound experienced home where he’ll be the only pet and no young kids living or visiting.
Rudy is a loving dog, he is house trained, good manners in the home and happy to be left for short periods.
His experienced sighthound foster mum reports he’s a fast learner and his behaviour is coming around already. His behaviour with her dogs is mixed and needs supervision – too bouncy and playful on occasions and highly anxious at other times …. yesterday he went to meet the horses and was quite calm and placid ☺️
Rudy is in Liverpool so a fairly local home please. Like a lot of sighthounds, Rudy will chase cats, so no small furries.
We will gladly cover the cost of a behaviourist to help rebuild his confidence and if you are a sighthound experienced owner looking for a new dog, he’s your boy.
Please complete the enquiry form if you can help Rudy but please note, your garden must be secure and you must be willing to visit in Liverpool and take instruction from the behaviourist.
