Making a difference... One dog at a time

Stacey & Smithy

A very pretty, gentle and kind greyhound girl who was abandoned in a van on an allotment with 3 other dogs – luckily they were found and came into rescue several weeks ago and are now looking for homes. Stacey is 5 years old and has shared her kennel with Smithy since being in rescue – they enjoy a mooch in the field and a quick zoomies when given the chance and we really would like to rehome them both together.

Stacey is a friendly girl, loves people and is very nosey, and she has also been good around other dogs too. Given the chance she will chase your cats out of town, so best she lives in a home with no small furries but instead lots of treats and loves and fusses – she likes them very much! She has no problem at all being handled and wears a harness to walk very nicely – not a big fan of cars or vans so we will be working on that with her, but hardly surprising given how she was found.

She will need time and effort to make the transition from kennels to a decent home, she has never had one and so would need help learning the rules and with that time this little girl will make someone a wonderful companion. She needs a little confidence building in the world in general, never having seen much of it, but you will reap huge rewards if you can commit to helping her flourish.

Smithy has a lovely character and is a super friendly boy – he has probably never raced and is a little nervous of new things but his love of treats is a massive help! He’s a gorgeous lad and they are so lovely together, she helps give him confidence too.

All the greyhounds deserve loving homes where there is a comfy space to call their own – sofas are a firm favourite, even for those who have never had their own home before. Please can you offer Stacey that chance?
