POPPY is an absolutely delightful lurcher girl in rescue in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and is almost 4 years old.
She is a friendly, loving, inquisitive girl and is a joy to spend time with.
She is sharing her kennel with another hound, a large male greyhound called Louie, and she enjoys running and playing in the field with him and sharing treats and their kennel penthouse, but she is rather wary of smaller dogs so she would definitely be better in a sighthound experienced home and definitely NO SMALL FURRIES OR FEATHERS PLEASE!
Poppy has been a special project for us since she joined us last year as she really had not seen a lot of the world but she has now been on car journeys, been to the vets, she has been shopping and spent time mooching around a large pet store, she has been out for walks in the country and has loved walking round the village and across the golf course. She really is a special girl who walks nicely on the lead, is very nosey about what’s going on around her and will make someone a great companion.
Small, fluffy, furry or feathered just fires up her lurcher instinct so are best avoided at all costs – but then your experienced sighthound owner would be conscious of and aware of this – you can’t love a pointy face without realising their traits and characteristics!
If you are interested in Poppy you must expect a stringent home check and vetting process, as with all our dogs, and be prepared to visit her in kennels once or twice at least and spend some time getting to know her and she you.
She’s a fab girl and we don’t want her to anywhere but to the best possible home where she will be loved and treasured FUREVER!
